We're incredibly excited for the upcoming season! Anticipation is high as we look forward to seeing our young athletes showcase their skills and teamwork. Our coaches and volunteers are dedicated to providing a supportive and enriching environment where every child can learn, grow, and have fun. Together, we're ready to cheer them on as they strive for success and create lasting memories this season!
The Waterbury Patriots divisions are formed by age, so the age of your athlete on July 31st is the division they can participate in.
Make sure to acknowledge and commit to the responsibilities of joining the Waterbury Patriots. Being part of a team is not just an after-school activity—it’s a commitment to something bigger than yourself. When an athlete joins a program, they take on the responsibility to show up, work hard, and support their teammates. Attendance and punctuality at practices and games/events are critical to the team's success. Every member plays a role, and when one person is missing, the entire team feels it. Sports teach discipline, accountability, and teamwork—values that extend far beyond the game.
We recognize that these athletes are kids, and their commitment is only possible with the support of their parents/guardians. As parents/guardians, you play a vital role—getting them to practice/events/games on time, ensuring they have the proper gear, and reinforcing the importance of dedication. When you invest in your child’s participation, you’re not just supporting them—you’re supporting the entire team. We ask that both athletes and parents honor their commitment by showing up, staying engaged, and working together to make this season a success!
Fundraising
Fundraising is a vital part of ensuring the success of the Waterbury Patriots. Every athlete is required to participate in fundraising efforts, as it directly supports our ability to operate and grow as an organization. Without full participation, we cannot meet our goals. Simply put, if an athlete does not fulfill their fundraising obligation, they will not be eligible to play.
